General Aviation
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has designated Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport as a small hub airport. The Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) operates 24 hours, 7 days a week to accommodate air traffic on three runways (17R-35L,17L-35R, and 8-26).
General Aviation services are found on the Westport as well as the Eastport. On the Westport you will find Lubbock Aero, Hall Hangars, Executive Hangars, Berry Enterprises, AeroCare, G & G Avionics, Hub City Aviation, Federal Express, the Silent Wings Museum, and the FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO).
Chaparral Jet Service, Midwest Weather, Lubbock Aero Hangars, Integrated Airline Services, and U.S. Customs are located on the Eastport.
